hello geardoc, i'm in the process of building a new pole building and we are using 6 x 6 glue lams. they are pressure treated for the first 6 feet for ground contact and the rest are just standard finger jointed lumber. they are a lot better than using solid 6 x 6s and and don't move around like the solid wood.
